How to fix a leaky faucet.
There are many reasons why your kitchen faucet might leak or drip.
Odds are that there is an old washer that is no longer doing its job.
Faucets can be tricky and depending on what kind of kitchen appliance you have and how old the plumbing is, you might just want to contact a plumber instead of attempting to do this yourself. If you do attempt to do this yourself, you better make sure that you have the right tools.
A good wrench, some pliers and a bucket are necessary if you are going to attempt this.
There is probably going to be a bit of a spill when you drain the pipes under the sink, so be careful.
If you follow the instructions in the video above you should have no problem fixing your leaky faucet.
Other kitchen maintenance issues could include;
- Refrigerator maintenance
- Smoke/ CO2 maintenance
- leaky pipes behind the wall
- stove or oven maintenance
- lighting fixture maintenance, repair or replacement
- dish washer maintenance
I remember last year when I was moving I accidentally broke the water pipe behind my refrigerator and it caused a massive leak. I actually had to go and turn off the water to my entire house because the leak was so bad. There was a river of water flowing from within the walls onto my kitchen floor, through the laundry room and into the garage. Needless to say that this won’t happen from a little drip in the kitchen faucet sink, but proper maintenance is always a good thing.
